People do speak of them ever so often. I get lots of compliments… and some people who say that the size and brightness of them is a bit off-putting! I really doubt they have any influence over the way people treat me though… I think.
Ha ha ha! I remember this. The wind was so strong that I had to turn away from it to be able to breath! Gandalf is the best. “Ah, fool of a hat, anyways!” he yelled before I jumped out to go get it for him. I know it’s his favourite hat.
All right, Laura. *bows*
Thank you! It was dreadful to be kept there for so long! I’m glad to be back, and I wonder how everyone is doing— How are you, lass? May I call you Laura? Lass doesn’t feel like it is as polite as it should be when I talk to you.

Legolas just told me there is a rescue party? Where are you? I just had to push an orc into the lava.

I wonder if people will ever say, ‘Let’s hear about Frodo and the Ring.’ And they’ll say ‘Yes, that’s one of my favorite stories. Frodo was really courageous, wasn’t he, Dad?’ ‘Yes, my boy, the most famousest of hobbits. And that’s saying a lot.’
You’ve left out one of the chief characters - Samwise the Brave. I want to hear more about Sam. Frodo wouldn’t have got far without Sam.
The alarm was ringing in his ears, filling his head with anxious noise. His body ached, so he sat down and held his knees. Frodo closed his eyes for a moment, and a bright vision of home sprang to life in his mind. Grassy green hills and flowers of white danced in the wind. He thought he could smell the wind; crisp, clean and warm. Very warm… his eyes shot open and he was back in the dark. He felt another breeze, fainter, but hot and real. With effort, he came to his feet and drew in another breath. There certainly was slightly sweeter air coming from his left. He stumbled forward in the dark, and he kept on until he saw the light of an open doorway ahead. “At last! I way out of this dreadful prison!”
The urgent sound of the alarm droned on.
Favorite LOTR Characters (in no particular order) → Samwise, son of Gaffer.
“Then let us be rid of it… once and for all! Come on, Mr. Frodo. I can’t carry it for you… but I can carry you! ”
It was so dark in the room that Frodo didn’t know where to go. He was so unsure of his surroundings that he felt as if he could fall into an abyss if he took a single step in any direction! The uruk-hai shoved Frodo forward and he collided into a low table, or pedestal of sorts. Catching himself with his hands, he felt a strangely cold, smooth, round object on top of the pedestal in front of him. His touch seemed to awaken it, and it erupted the bright light of and array of flames from deep within itself. It began to pain Frodo to touch it, but he was unable to move his hands from the surface. Frodo cried out and fell to the ground. He closed his eyes tight, but the vision of the flames was burning in his mind. “I see you,” a voice hissed in Frodo’s head, “Tell me: Where is my Ring?” Frodo’s eyes flashed open. He knew to whom he was speaking with. “Tell me, halfling!” the voice demanded, “Where is my Ring?” Frodo did not stir, though his hands were in agony. “I do not have your ring,” replied Frodo with a stern and steady voice. “Liar,” the voice grew angry, “LIAR!”
The floor began to shake beneath the hobbit. The pain intensified, and Frodo cried out again. Not only his hands, but his arms as well now felt as if they were on fire. His head throbbed and his ears rung.
Without warning, it became completely silent. There was only the lingering ring in Frodo’s ears. The flames consumed themselves into nothing, and all was still. Frodo dropped the palantir and let it roll across the ground. He lay there for a moment as the burning cooled down and the ringing in his ears faded. As the ringing died out, he heard another strange noise. It was like the call of an alarm. High pitched and urgent. At once, Frodo rose from the floor and staggered blindly, looking for a way out. The orc was gone. “Maybe it has gone off to answer the call? What has happened?” wondered Frodo. It did not occur to him that his friends were here to help him.
I’m fine! Don’t worry. I may yet find a way out myself! If I could just figure out where I am exactly… and somehow evade this horrible orc.
Oh… well… I have a small portable mechanism that uses magic, like that of a palantir, to connect to this internet…
